CONTENTS
You’ll Need These:
- A computer or a mobile device to access the Nexxt router settings
- Wired or wireless access to your network
- The Nexxt router admin IP and password
Once you connect the device to the network and have the admin login details in front of you, the rest of the login process is pretty simple. Please note that in case you have changed the admin password earlier, you will need to use that one instead of the default password.
What Are The Default Nexxt Router Details?
Nexxt routers come with some of their settings already set in the factory during the production process. These settings are the same for all the routers they make so we need to make sure to change them as soon as possible. Besides the default network name and wireless password, here are the admin login details that will help you access the Nexxt router settings.
Default Nexxt router IP address: 192.168.0.1 or use the local address nexxtwifi.com or nexxtwifi.local
Default admin password: admin
How To Login To Nexxt Router?
Once you make sure you have everything ready, it is time to continue with the Nexxt router login steps.
STEP 1 – Is Your Device Connected?
Your computer or mobile device has to be connected to the network before you even try logging in. The reason for this is that if a device is connected to the network, it can access the router’s admin dashboard. If it isn’t connected, it won’t be possible to login.
Therefore, connect your device over WiFi if you know the wireless password, or connect it using an Ethernet cable. Each option will allow you to access the admin dashboard, but we always prefer the wired connection.
STEP 2 – Start The Web Browser On The Device
Your device already has a web browser installed on it. All you have to do is to start it and skip to the next step. The web browser helps us access the Web UI or the router’s web-based interface. It is a user-friendly way to manage your router settings.
Any of the browsers we use today can be used: Chrome, Firefox, Edge… Just make sure it is updated.
STEP 3 – Enter The Nexxt IP In The Address Bar
The Nexxt router default IP address is 192.168.0.1. You can also use the local web address nexxtwifi.com or nexxtwifi.local. Type any of these in the browser’s address bar and press the Enter/Go key. With the correct IP address, the Nexxt router login page will appear asking you to enter the admin password.
STEP 4 – Enter The Nexxt Admin Password
The default Next router admin password is admin. As you can see it is pretty easy to guess and we will explain how to change it later, if you want to do it.
Now press the Login button and you should be taken to the router’s web-based interface. Of course, if you already know that the admin password has been changed, you will have to use the custom one.
And that’s it. Now you have the possibility to configure your Nexxt router the way you like it. Of course, we strongly recommend changing the default settings, especially the default admin password and the default WiFi settings.
And here is where you can find these settings.
How To Change The Nexxt Admin Password?
The admin password grants us access to the router’s admin dashboard. But the problem is that anyone who is connected to the network can easily find and use this password to access the router settings without your authorization. If we want to be the only one who has access to these settings, we need to change the admin password.
1. Login to your Nexxt router.
2. Find Administration in the menu on the left and click on it.
3. The Login Password page will open. Complete the required fields:
Old Password – Enter the current admin password here.
New Password – Enter the new admin password here.
Repeat New Password – Type the new admin password again to confirm that you haven’t made a typing error the first time you have entered it.
4. Click the OK button to save the new admin password.
NOTE: You will be logged out when you save the new admin password. Login back again and let’s find the WiFi settings page now.
How To Change The Nexxt WiFi Name And Password?
It is also recommended to change the default Nexxt WiFi settings. Our wireless network has to be well protected with a strong password.
1. Login to your Nexxt router.
2. Click on Wireless Settings in the left-hand menu and the WiFi Name and Password section will open.
3. In the WiFi Name enter the new wireless network name.
4. In the Security Mode field select WPA/WPA2-PSK Mixed.
5. In the WiFi Password field enter the new wireless password.
6. Click OK to save the new WiFi name and password.
Final Words
We hope that you didn’t have any problems accessing the Nexxt router settings. As you can see, if you prepare what is necessary for the Nexxt router login, the process is pretty simple and shouldn’t last more than a minute or two.
Also, make sure to change the default settings we have mentioned. It will make your network more secure and you can worry much less about the security of your personal files and data. Of course, the router offers some other options that can make your wireless network even more secure: you can create a Guest network, block devices from the primary network, enable the integrated firewall, use MAC filtering, and so on.

That’s exactly what I’m doing on this website – I’m making simple and easy-to-follow guides on how to install, set up, and troubleshoot your networking hardware. I also review new network equipment – modems, gateways, switches, routers, extenders, mesh systems, cables, etc.
My goal is to help regular users with their everyday network issues, educate them, and make them less scared of their equipment. In my articles, you can find tips on what to look for when buying new networking hardware, and how to adjust your network settings to get the most out of your wi-fi.
