If you want to modify your Cudy router settings in order to secure your wireless network or customize the WiFi name and password, set up Port forwarding and so on, you need to know how to login to your Cudy wireless router admin dashboard.
The admin dashboard, i.e. the web-based interface allows quick and user-friendly access to the router settings and makes the network configuration pretty easy. If you have a Cudy wireless router and want to change a setting or two, you are at the right place.

What Are The Default Cudy Router Login Details?
You can use the following default Cudy router login details to access the router settings. However, if you have changed these you will need to use the new ones. And in case you have forgotten the custom login details, you will be able to login to the router settings using the default ones after you factory-reset the router.

Local web address: http://cudy.net/
Default password: admin
How To Login To Cudy Router?
After a brief preparation and getting ready everything you need, the next few steps will help you access your Cudy router settings.
STEP 1 – Connect Your Device
Take your device and depending on its capabilities connect it to the network. We strongly recommend connecting using an Ethernet cable, but if you are trying to login with a tablet or a smartphone, connecting via WiFi will be good enough. The problem with the wiFi connection is that it can be unstable from time to time, and also when you change settings such as the WiFi name and password or the admin password, you will be disconnected from the network. If this happens, just connect using the new wireless details or login using the new admin password.
STEP 2 – Open A Web Browser
The web browser you have on the device is used to access the web-based interface. Yes, it looks like a website, but it isn’t. You are actually visiting a page stored in the router and you don’t need an active Internet connection. Also, any router will do the job so don’t think too much about it.
STEP 3 – Enter The Cudy Router IP In The Address Bar
We have mentioned that the default Cudy router IP address is 192.168.10.1. You need to type this IP address in the web browser’s address bar and press Enter on your keyboard. You should be requested to enter the Cudy admin password after that. However, if that doesn’t happen you can try typing the following local web address http://cudy.net/ instead of the IP address.
In case you see an error message you can check whether 192.168.10.1 is the default router IP. Just follow our guide here.
STEP 4 – Enter The Cudy Router Admin Password
After entering the correct IP or the local web address you will be asked to type the Cudy router admin password.
The default password for Cudy routers is admin. It is case sensitive so pay attention if auto-correct makes the first letter a capital letter or if you have Caps-Lock turned on.
Click or tap on the Login button.
STEP 5 –Check The Cudy Router Settings
If there were no problems, you should see the Cudy admin dashboard. Here you can see various information about your network and all the settings are a few clicks away.
How To Change The Cudy Router Admin Password?
Changing the default admin password is one of the things we recommend changing during the initial setup. It represents a security risk if you keep the default one because anyone who has access to your network can easily access the router admin settings. If you use a custom admin password this won’t be possible.
To change the admin password, click on the Advanced Settings tab, and then scroll down to the System section.
Then click on the Admin Account icon. A pop-up window will appear asking you to enter the old and the new password in the corresponding fields. After you fill in these fields click the Save & Apply button.
How To Change The Cudy Router WiFi Settings?
Cudy routers, just like routers from other companies, come with a default network name and password. This makes the initial setup process much easier, but we recommend changing these after that. Just make sure not to forget to change these. The default login details, including the WiFi name and password are printed on a label that is located under the router and anyone who has physical access to the router can get them and access your network without you knowing about it.
If you want to change the WiFi name and password, click on General Settings in the horizontal menu and then click the Wireless 2.4G icon.
In the SSID field enter the new network name.
In the Encryption drop-down field select WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK.
Finally, in the Password field type the new wireless password.
Click on the Save & Apply button to confirm the changes.
After changing these settings, your devices that have been connected to your WiFi will be disconnected, so you will have to connect them one by one to the new network.
Final Words
Now when you know how to login to your Cudy router and change the admin password, as well as the WiFi name and password, you can check all the other settings and options. There are many other available options, some known and some unknown.
Just to be sure, we don’t recommend changing the settings you don’t know anything about. Leave that to someone with more experience or create a backup of the router settings first, and then continue exploring the settings. It will be easier to restore the settings in case you mess things up. And finally, in case something goes wrong, a factory reset should save the day. But you will have to set up your home network again if you decide to do it.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in network engineering and a master’s degree in computer science and engineering. I’m also a Cisco-certified service provider.
In my professional career, I worked for router/modem manufacturers and internet providers. I like to think that I’m good at explaining network-related issues in simple terms. That’s exactly what I’m doing on this website – I’m making simple and easy-to-follow guides on how to install, set up, and troubleshoot your networking hardware. I also review new network equipment – modems, gateways, switches, routers, extenders, mesh systems, cables, etc.
My goal is to help regular users with their everyday network issues, educate them, and make them less scared of their equipment. In my articles, you can find tips on what to look for when buying new networking hardware, and how to adjust your network settings to get the most out of your wi-fi.
Since my work is closely related to computers, servers, and other network equipment, I like to spend most of my spare time outdoors. When I want to blow off some steam, I like to ride my bike. I also love hiking and swimming. When I need to calm down and clear my mind, my go-to activity is fishing.
