What Are The Default Uniway Router Details?
These are the default admin login details for your Uniway wireless router. In case you have changed these, please login with the new custom login details. However, in case you don’t know or you have forgotten the custom login details, you will be able to use the default ones after you reset the Uniway router to factory settings.
Default IP address: 192.168.1.1
Default username: admin
Default password: stdONU101, admin or vsONU101
NOTE: There should be a sticker under the router with the default admin logins printed on it.
How To Login To Uniway Router?
There shouldn’t be any issues during the Uniway router login process. Just go step by step and everything should be completed in a minute or two. However, we will explain each step a bit more.
STEP 1 – Connect The Device
The most important thing to do in order to login to your router successfully is to connect your device to the network. If you don’t do that, you won’t be able to login. So, if you know the WiFi password you can connect wirelessly. Otherwise you can connect the device to the router directly using a network cable.
STEP 2 – Launch A Web Browser
After you confirm that your device is connected to the network, you need to launch the web browser you normally use on your device. It will help us connect to the router’s settings page. The web-based interface helps the user configure the router settings in a user-friendly way. Any browser will do the job but make sure the one you are using is updated. Older browsers may have conflicts with the web-based interface.
STEP 3 – Type The Uniway Default IP In The Address Bar
The default Uniway router IP address is 192.168.1.1. You need to type this IP in the browser’s Address bar. When you enter the correct IP address, you will have to enter the admin username and password.
However, if that doesn’t happen you have to check the following:
– Is the device still connected to the network?
– Is 192.168.1.1 the router IP address? You can easily find the router’s IP by following this guide.
– Have you typed it correctly? The IP address should contain numbers only. Sometimes people tend to mistype the IP, or they type letters instead of numbers. Pay attention to this.
STEP 4 – Enter The Uniway Admin Username And Password
The default admin username and password for Uniway wireless routers are:
Username: admin
Password: stdONU101, admin or vsONU101
Try these passwords and when you enter the correct username/password combination and after you enter the Verification code, click on the Login button.
You should see the Uniway router admin dashboard (the web-based interface).
However, if that doesn’t happen, you need to check whether you have typed the login details correctly. The username and password are case-sensitive, so be careful. Also, use the custom admin login details if the defaults have been changed.
STEP 5 – Welcome To The Uniway Router Admin Dashboard
At this point, if there were no problems, you should see the Uniway router admin dashboard. The settings are carefully organized and you should easily find the ones you want to modify.
The first thing we recommend doing is creating a backup of the router configuration. In case something goes wrong, you can easily revert it to the previous state.
Besides the backup, we also recommend changing the admin password as soon as possible, as well as changing the wireless network name and WiFi password. It is important to keep your network safe from unauthorized access and this is the best way to do it. Of course, there are other configuration changes you can make in order to boost your network security. You can read more about it in this article.
Let’s Change The Uniway Admin Password
Changing the admin password is an essential step in your network security. The default one can be found easily and this is one of the reasons why you need to change it immediately. Usually, during the setup the user is offered to change the default admin password. However, if you didn’t do this or you just want to change the current one, it is recommended to do it ASAP.
After you access the router’s admin dashboard, click on Management in the top menu.
The option to change the admin password will be instantly available. All you need to do now is to type the old admin password and then type the new password twice. Avoid copy/pasting the new password, because if you have mistyped it the first time, you won’t be able to login after you save the changes. If that happens, you will have to reset the router to factory defaults.

Let’s Change The Uniway SSID And Password
Protecting your wireless network is another step that will increase the security of your network and protect your personal files and data. The default WiFi name has to be changed into something recognizable. The default WiFi password needs to be changed into something unique and much stronger than the default “12345678”. You should also change the WiFi password every month or two, but this is just a recommendation because we share our WiFi password to anyone that comes to our place.
Here are the recommended Wireless Security settings for your Uniway router.
When you login to your Uniway router, click on Network, and then on WLAN in the menu below.
You will see the SSID field. Delete the current network name and enter the one you want. If this is the only thing you wanted to do, click on the Apply Changes button.
If you want to change the WiFi password as well, click on WLAN Security in the menu on the left.
The Wireless Security Settings page will open.
From the Encryption drop-down list choose WPA2.
Check the Personal (Pre-Shared Key) radio button.
Check both AES fields below, and select Passphrase from the Pre-Shared Key Format drop-down list.
Enter the new wireless password in the Pre-Shared Key field and click on Apply Changes.
In case you have been logged in using the WiFi connection, you will be disconnected. Connect your device again using the new WiFi login details and login with the new admin password. Also, make sure to update the WiFi password on all your wireless devices.
Final Words
We hope that we have provided clear instructions on how to access the Uniway router settings and secure your network. You really shouldn’t have any problems doing that if you have everything ready. Just write down the default and custom admin login details and save them for the next time you want to access your Uniway router settings.
