Having this in mind, <a href=\"https:\/\/routerctrl.com\/connect-ethernet-cable-to-wireless-router\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"6999\">connect your device either directly to the router<\/a> with a network cable or connect using the wireless connection. After you confirm that the device is connected, you can continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">STEP 2 \u2013 Launch Google Chrome<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have Google Chrome installed on your device, launch it. If not, you can use any other web browser. Type it into the browser\u2019s URL bar and when you press Go or Enter on your device the router login page will appear, if the IP is correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case the router login page doesn\u2019t appear, it is possible that you have mistyped the IP or the user is not using that IP. So, type admin in the first field, password in the second and then enter the verification code. After that click the <strong>Login<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have typed the correct login details and verification code, you should see the <strong>Device Basic Information<\/strong> page now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that\u2019s it. You have accessed the Net Link router admin dashboard successfully. Keeping the default admin password is a mistake, and it is recommended to change it as soon as possible. Login to your router as described above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Click on <strong>Management<\/strong> in the top menu, and the <strong>User Management<\/strong> page will be selected automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Enter the current admin password in the <strong>OldPassword<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Now enter the new admin password in the <strong>NewPassword<\/strong> field and retype it again in the <strong>ConfirmPassword<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Click on <strong>Save\/Apply<\/strong> to save the new admin password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. You will be asked to login again to your Net Link router. Enter the new admin login details and the verification code and click on the <strong>Login<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why And How To Change The Net Link WiFi Settings?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Keeping the default WiFi name and password is another mistake we want to avoid. Change the network name to make it more personal and easily recognizable. And <a href=\"https:\/\/routerctrl.com\/verizon-wifi-password-change\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1608\">set up a new strong wireless password <\/a>that will keep anyone away unless you share the password with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> It is recommended to change the wireless password occasionally and here is how to do it in your Net Link router.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Login to your Net Link wireless router.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Click on <strong>Network<\/strong> in the main menu, and then on <strong>WLAN<\/strong> in the sub-menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. The <strong>WLAN Basic<\/strong> page will open automatically and you will see the <strong>SSID<\/strong> field. You can enter your new network name there if you want to change the current one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Now click on <strong>WLAN Security<\/strong> in the side menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. If you are using more than one network name, from the <strong>SSID Type<\/strong> list select the network name you want to modify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. As <strong>Encryption <\/strong>select <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/routerctrl.com\/how-to-configure-router-to-use-wpa2\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2887\">WPA2<\/a> Mixed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. As <strong>Authentication Mode<\/strong> check the <strong>Personal (Pre-Shared key)<\/strong> radio button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. <strong>Pre-Shared Key Format<\/strong> should be set to <strong>Passphrase.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9. You can now enter the new wireless password in the <strong>Pre-Shared Key <\/strong>field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Always make sure that the new password is strong and unique. It is best to make a combination of digits, special characters and small and capital letters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10. And finally, click on the <strong>Save\/Apply<\/strong> button to save the new wireless settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> You will be disconnected now if you have been connected over WiFi. Just login back in with the new wireless password and don\u2019t forget to reconnect your other wireless devices to the network.
