You Are Going To Need

The Telstra login process will be much easier and faster if you are well prepared. To be more precise, these are the things you have to have in order to login to your Telstra router.

You need a device like a computer or a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) and that device has to be connected to your network.

Then you need to have the default or custom router login details. You can see these printed on a sticker that can be found under or at the back of the router, you can check the user’s manual or check the following section.

What Are The Default Telstra Router Admin Login Details?

Telstra routers have the admin login details predefined in the factory. They are:

Default Telstra router IP: 192.168.15.1

Default Telstra admin username: admin

Default Telstra admin password: telstra

As you can see, these default login details can be guessed easily, so it is recommended to change them. However, if you have changed these default admin login details before, you will have to use the custom ones in order to complete the login process.

How To Login To Telstra Router?

After you prepare the things we have just mentioned, the rest of the login process is pretty simple and easy to follow.

STEP 1 – Make Sure You Are Connected

The device you are using to login to your Telstra router has to be connected to the network. It doesn’t matter whether you are going to connect it over WiFi or you are going to use a wired connection. It is important that the device is connected. The main reason for this is that normally just the devices that are connected can be used to access the router settings. Otherwise the login process will fail.

STEP 2 – Start Your Preferred Web Browser

When you connect the device, open the web browser you use most frequently. Consider it as a tool to access the admin dashboard i.e. display the router’s web-based interface. This makes the router management pretty simple and straightforward. You can use any web browser you want, just make sure that it is updated. Please note that some router manufacturers recommend using Microsoft Edge or Chrome in order to avoid potential conflicts with the router’s web-based interface.

STEP 3 – Enter The Telstra IP Address In The URL Bar

The default Telstra router IP (192.168.15.1) should be typed into the browser’s URL bar. After that press the Enter or Go button and you should see the Telstra router login page where you need to enter the admin username and password.

In case you type the IP incorrectly or the router is using another IP address, you can retype the IP and try to login again or find the correct router IP address using this guide.

STEP 4 – Enter The Telstra Admin Login Credentials

When the Telstra router login page shows up, complete the required fields. Type admin as a username and telstra as a password. Then press the Login button.

If everything was correct, you should see the Telstra router admin dashboard now. You will notice that the settings are well organized into Basic and Advanced and you should be able to find the ones you want to modify pretty quickly.
