Understanding the meaning of the Linksys router lights can be really helpful in maintaining your network. <\/span><\/p>\n In this article, we are going to explain the meaning of different <\/span>LED light colors<\/span><\/a> and blinking patterns. We will also discuss what these lights tell us about the status of our network \u2013 are they informing us about a specific <\/span>issue<\/span><\/a> or just indicating that everything is working as it should? <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you take a look at the current <\/span>Wi-Fi routers<\/span><\/a> presented on Linksys.com, you will see that different router models have a different number of LED lights and different color patterns. There are routers with just one unified LED light, some routers have a backlit Linksys logo that indicates the network and router status, and some have several different LED lights.<\/span><\/p>\n So, let\u2019s start with the routers that have one unified LED light, first.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The following models have a unified LED light positioned either on the front-left or on the top. However, the meaning of the LED lights is the same: <\/span><\/p>\n Applies to <\/span><\/i>Hydra 6 MR20EC<\/span><\/i><\/a> and <\/span><\/i>MR5500<\/span><\/i><\/a>, <\/span><\/i>Hydra Pro 6E MR7500<\/span><\/i><\/a>, and <\/span><\/i>Max-Stream MR7350<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Applies to <\/span><\/i>Max-Stream MR8300<\/span><\/i><\/a> and MR9000, and <\/span><\/i>Max-Stream MR6350<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Applies to <\/span><\/i>Max-Stream MR9600<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Blinking Blue<\/b><\/a> Light<\/b> \u2013 You will see this LED light during the startup process or when <\/span>WPS pairing<\/span><\/a> is activated.<\/span><\/p>\n Solid Blue<\/b> \u2013This light is the one we want to see. It means that the router is connected to the internet or, if you have started WPS pairing before, it means that the connection was established.<\/span><\/p>\n Solid Purple Light<\/b> \u2013 The router is ready to be configured. You can use the <\/span>Linksys app<\/span><\/a>, follow the instructions, and complete the setup.<\/span><\/p>\n Blinking Purple Light<\/b> \u2013 The <\/span>blinking purple light<\/span><\/a> will be present while you are setting up the router and should go off when you complete the setup.<\/span><\/p>\n Solid <\/b>Red Light<\/b><\/a> \u2013 This light requires our attention since it indicates that the router is offline, and <\/span>there is no internet connection<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n Blinking Red Light<\/b> \u2013 This usually indicates that something is disconnected. The child node may be out of range from the primary node, or the primary node may not be connected to the modem.<\/span><\/p>\n * For the <\/span>Max-Stream MR8300 and MR9000<\/b> it usually means the <\/span>router is disconnected from the modem<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Solid <\/b>Yellow Light<\/b><\/a> \u2013 The child nodes are receiving a <\/span>weak signal<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Blinking Yellow Light<\/b> \u2013 You will see this light when the WPS pairing fails.<\/span><\/p>\n NOTE:<\/b> Max-Stream MR9600 has a <\/span>separate <\/b>WPS light<\/b><\/a> on the front-right side<\/b> of the router.<\/span><\/p>\n Applies to: Max-Stream EA6350, EA7200, <\/span><\/i>EA7300<\/span><\/i><\/a>, EA7430, EA7450, EA8100.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Solid White Logo <\/b>\u2013 The Linksys logo on the top of the router will be solid white when the router is connected to the internet.<\/span><\/p>\n Linksys Logo Blinking or Flashing \u2013 <\/b>You will see this during a <\/span>firmware upgrade<\/span><\/a>, self-diagnosing, and when the router starts up.<\/span><\/p>\n Linksys Logo Flashing Rapidly <\/b>\u2013 This LED light behavior indicates that there is a connection error.<\/span><\/p>\n Applies to: <\/span><\/i>E7350<\/span><\/i><\/a>, <\/span><\/i>E5600<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Power Light Blinking<\/b><\/a> Blue \u2013 <\/b>You will see this light when the router is starting up or when you put the router into WPS pairing mode.<\/span><\/p>\n Power Light Blinking Yellow \u2013 <\/b>The <\/span>blinking yellow<\/span><\/a> light on the Power button will appear if the WPS connection fails.<\/span> <\/b><\/p>\n Internet Light Solid Blue<\/b> \u2013 This light is lit when everything is working fine and the router is connected to the internet.<\/span><\/p>\n Internet Light Solid Yellow<\/b> \u2013 This light is lit when the router is not connected to the internet, but it\u2019s properly connected to the modem.<\/span><\/p>\n Ethernet Lights Solid Blue<\/b> \u2013 This indicates that a device is connected to a specific port.<\/span><\/p>\n Ethernet Light Blinking Blue<\/b> \u2013 This indicates activity on the specific Ethernet port. <\/span><\/p>\n The E5600 router model has one additional LED light color behavior:<\/span><\/p>\n Internet Light Blinking Yellow<\/b> \u2013<\/span> The Internet port will blink yellow if no Ethernet cable is connected during setup.<\/span><\/p>\n Applies to: <\/span><\/i>Max-Stream EA8300<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This router has a LED display with the following lights (icons):<\/span><\/p>\nLinksys Router Lights Meaning<\/h2>\n
